Every show is the best show

Every show is the best show

Seriously, every show is the best show. Don’t tell me any different.

Wrapped recording with Ed Mejia yesterday and I was convinced that it was the best show I’d recorded. However, last week I was convinced that the show I recorded with John Hayden was the best ever. And before that I couldn’t comprehend a show better than what I’d recorded with Peter Worth. And none of these will even compare to what happens next week.

What this boils down to is that I’m really enjoying this project. And every time I sit down with one of my contemporaries I really am happy with the content recorded. EVERY TIME. If we’re joking about drunken antics in Japan or a serious discussion of God in the workplace, I like it all. That’s a good thing. If it all sucked and I hated it then I guess this would be a stupid waste of time. But I like these people. And every one of them gives me new insights and inspires me in new ways. We have a lot of fun on the show, but it needs to be said: Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to share a few drinks and a few stories. And thank you most for sharing your observations of this crazy industry we call advertising. You make me feel a little less insane for being so connected with it. I appreciate the passion and the humility you contribute to the show.

And now another martini.
